'Avoca' take their name from a picturesque village in the heart of Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Our full band are known as 'The Cantons' and we tour as 'Avoca' as a 2 or 3 piece. Our new web site will be online very soon and will include an expanded audio section, latest news, gig diary, a forum, a blog, an on-line shop and a historic photo gallery. Co. Wicklow based folk band ‘Avoca’ have officially launched their latest CD single. Composed by frontman Sean Olohan, “Vincent At Christmas” is a charity release in aid of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is the largest, voluntary, charitable organisation in Ireland. Its membership of 9,500 volunteers throughout the country are supported by professional staff, working for social justice and the creation of a more just, caring nation. This unique network of social concern also gives practical support to those experiencing poverty and social exclusion, by providing a wide range of services to people in need.
